The new Travelite V series binoculars incorporate several new features designed to make them more user friendly while enhancing optical performance.Nikon Travelite V binoculars utilize precision ground, multicoated optics, and high index BaK4 prisms for true color rendition, maximum sharpness and enhanced light transmission. The new binoculars use aspherical eyepiece lenses which provide a very flat viewing field and offer markedly improved edge-to-edge sharpness over many conventional lenses. The new Travelite V features large, conveniently located central focus knobs and clicking diopters. Each model in the series features 25mm objective lenses for maximum light gathering.A new, ergonomically contoured, carbon-fiber body makes the Travelite V easy to use for long viewing sessions without physical fatigue. The lightweight body incases a rugged all-metal chassis and is covered with a durable black rubber armor that provides added shock resistance and a positive grip in slippery conditions.

Customer Rating: Summary: Stellar Choice Comment: I bought these to take to Africa on safari. They are incredibly easy to hold steady, focus and produce an image that staggered me in its sharpness. They are so light you almost don't know they are there. I also own a pair of Zeiss 10X50,they are nice but very heavy and I would rather have my Nikon binocs any day. Great product at a great price.
Customer Rating: Summary: Small but good Comment: We wanted a small binoculars for occasional use. Nikon pretty much does what it says - compact, good quality. Had it only 2 weeks, so I don't know how it will hold up, but seems well built
Customer Rating: Summary: Nikon small, lite and excellant viewing binocular Comment: This is a small compact binocular with excellent viewing for birding or sporting events. Movement with the Nikon Travelite V 8X25 is not a problem. This is the best pair of binoculars I have used. Amazon was great to purchase from so I recommend them and the product very high.
Customer Rating: Summary: great well priced binoculars Comment: I purchased these binoculars because they were rated a best buy by consumer reports. They have lived up to my expectations. I use them for bird watching and the image is clear and easy to focus. I also like the fact that they are light weight and easy to carry. I have used them everyday since they arrived. I would recommend them to all birdwatchers.
Customer Rating: Summary: Far Superior to My Previous Binoculars Comment: I bought these to replace a cheap $20 pair of binoculars that were stolen out of my car. The thief did me a big favor. He can ruin his vision with those old binoculars. My new Nikons are far superior. They have a much sharper image, are easier to focus and they hold their focus. They also feel comfortable in my hands. At $73 and free shipping you can't go wrong. They also include a nice nylon case and neck strap. BTW, I debated on whether to go with the 10X power (i.e. 10x25) binoculars and I'm glad that I didn't. The 8X binoculars are more than powerful enough for concerts and sporting events. The higher the power, the harder it is to hold the image steady and the narrower the field of view. More isn't always better.
