Customer Rating: Summary: Good, inexpensive helmet Comment: I purchased the Bell helmet frankly because it was inexpensive. Though I have not crash tested it, and hope not to for awhile, I am pleased with its comfort, easy adjustment, and snug yet comfortable fit.

My head is large and appears to be even more so when I wear this helmet. Here, the blessing of the Bell Impulse is also its curse. Sure, I'm not worried if my head hits the curb, but I feel like I'm losing so much of the engineered aerodynamics of my Trek 850 when I wear this helmet! Plus, when I'm riding into wind or down a steep hill, I literally have to push the bill down (seems to be somewhat of a design flaw - my bill's connection to the helmet broke the first day I had it). While containing many holes, this helmet does not provide very good ventilation (expect to sweat when you're riding).
Altogether, this is not a sexy helmet - it is neither cool in a physical or metaphorical sense, but it's a functional steal at less than 30 bucks (hard to find an adult size helmet for much less than that). It's not extremely heavy and it protects your noggin.
Customer Rating: Summary: a bit small, but overall good Comment: I got the "adult" size (not sure if there is a difference between "adult" and "universal adult"), and while it fits, it's a bit tight. I do wear larger hats, so it might be ok for most people. I suppose tight is better than loose when it comes to bike helmets anyway. The bill is also flimsy, but I don't see that as a big negative. Overall a good helmet, especially for the price you pay.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good price for a good helmet Comment: For the price, this helmet is suiting me (a novice rider) just fine. It fits well and is not too bulky, as I've heard some less expensive helmets are.
