Summary: I wish I could Give it ZERO stars.
Comment: This is a great idea. It appears that several outfits cannot make a device that works. After down loading new drivers for the hub & the dongle, and the updated software package I finally got it working. Turned of the systems last night, this AM - would not work. Tried it all over again. NADA, NOTHING, and so on. I do not have any more time to waste. By the way IOGEAR did not answer requests for support. 1

Summary: I'd give it a zero if that were possible
Comment: Great idea, but it doesn't work. If the thing is more than six inches away from the communication dongle, the comm strength is too low to work. So what's the point?? I tried everything including shutting down other devices in hopes that it was lagging due to interference, but alas, it wasn't interference, it is just a sucky gadget that you shouldn't waste your money on.

Summary: Range too short, too unreliable
Comment: Save your money. This is not worth it. Range is only about 5 feet. It does not recognize all types of USB units, something the literature neglects to mention. The connection drops if I even pass my hand between the dungel and the unit. Does not recognize the hub, the next time I bring the laptop home and plug in the required dungle. Must re-establish contact with awire first. Worse, company will not work with me to resolve problems. Service support is not even a single star. They are only open during normal business week. No help here. Save your money.

Comment: This hub and adapter works great. I haven't seen any issues that others have described. I downloaded the newest drivers and they work perfectly. I've been waiting for a product like this for a long time. It seems to have better throughput than the wifi usb hubs. I use it to move my printer off of my crowded desk.

Summary: Don't waste your time or money.
Comment: Installed onto a Vista Ultimate machine. Caused a bluescreen on initial install, unsigned drivers, multiple reboots required. Range is horrible - even with clear line of sight, I can't get connectivity to work beyond 6-7 feet from the adapter. Doesn't work with IR Remote for Windows Media Center, which is what I bought it for. No response from email to support. All in all, a horrible useless product.
