Customer Rating: Summary: Helps balance for the golf swing Comment: As a golf professional, I believe that if you're looking to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of your golf swing, improving your balance is one way to do it. Balance in the golf swing is not talked about enough.
I bought these disks to help me to improve my balance and stability when swinging a golf club. I set up in my golf posture and slowly swing a very heavy-weighted golf club. I like to go to the top of my backswing and hold that postion of 5 - 10 seconds. You can really feel your entire body working to stay in balance. These are also inflatable with a regular ball pump and the more air they have in them, the more unstable they are and the bterr your balance needs to be to use them. So they give you the ability to learn to progess with them. I'm now also looking for ways to use them in the gym.
The company delivered the product on time and as promised. Keep in mind that there are no directions, exercises, etc that come with these disks, so you need to find exercises to do with them. Many of these exercises can be found on the internet.
Customer Rating: Summary: Dyna Discs Comment: These discs are great for kids with attention issues or a tendency to "wiggle" in their seats. You can place the disc bumpy side up on their chair, and it gives them a sensory-tactile input that reduces the need to move so much. The "cool" factor also helps in that other students tend to want to try one too. Customer Rating: Summary: great tool for thin people Comment: I always struggled doing exercises on my back (crunches or leg lifts for example) because I am thin. There were very uncomfortable/painful pressure points I'd experience that turned me off to any hope of getting into a productive and lasting fitness regime. Recently I went into physical therapy and the therapist suggested that I use this disc as I exercised because the exercise table they had was so hard...Well, it only took a couple seconds before I realized this disc was going to be a good friend, and would highly recommend to other thin people who experienced the same discomfort as I did...Now, 6 weeks after I began using it, I am still using the disc under my back 3x week - exercising! - and have strengthened my stomach and low back muscles and legs considerably - all because I am finally able to sustain laying on my back or side.
Sorry I didn't know about this tool sooner. I am ordering my own disc for home and plan to use it to exercise and maybe even lie on the floor to watch tv - something I haven't don since I was a kid. Customer Rating: Summary: Nice tool for core strengthening Comment: Many uses for this product in balance training and core stability training. See your local physical therapist or athletic trainer for some great work-out ideas.
