Summary: Great product but...
Comment: These ear phones do sound great but they're just not for everyday use. They do come with different size and style ear buds to custom fit your ear. With me the ear phone will occasionally pop out of my ear no matter which ear bud I use. It get's annoying after a while.

Summary: Hearing aid?
Comment: I ordered this Amazon a while back, and didn't like it from the beginning. It did not fit well, and really stood out. It looked as if I was wearing hearing aid. Not attractive at all...

Summary: Yeah, they're good.
Comment: These earphones are great, and should definetly be considered if your looking at the sub $100 price range.

Some Pros:

+Crisp and clear highs, awesome mids.
+Durable Design.
+Cool Looking.
+Tons of eartips included, so you will definetly find a fit you like.
+Case included.

Some Cons:

-There isn't much bass. Its not really a problem, but im just putting it out there. You can tweak your EQ a bit, and it will be fine. If you listen to primarily Hip-Hop, I wouldn't get these. I would get the Dr. Dre earphones.
-The way you wear them is stupid and confusing at first. Once you learn how its not a problem. They stay in securely, and you can wear the cable in front or in back if you want. Now it only takes me a few seconds to get these in.

Overall these headphones provide clear and crisp sound that isn't overpowered by bass. Im happy with them.

Summary: great earbuds
Comment: This is a great set of ear buds, but they do take some time to get used to. Initially I regretted buying them because I was having a difficult time fitting them in my ear, this problem went away after a few weeks of use and I have since used them almost everyday for the past two years. The sound is very balanced, not a lot of bass, but if you get them fitted right in your ear canal the bass can be more than satisfactory. The only problem I've had with these is the fact that eventually the cord gets stiff and cracks...(maybe due to cold weather?) This is unfortunate because the buds themselves are still in perfect condition. Not sure if Shure would have covered this under warranty since it has been more then two years. overall I recommend this earbuds.

Summary: Great sound quality, but poor wiring
Comment: When these earphones work as they're supposed to, they are probably the best earphones on the market in this price range. For instance, I also own a pair of Bose in-ear headphones. While I think the sound quality from Bose is noticeably better, they don't block out an iota of sound and it becomes quite noticeable after you're used to the Shure earphones. In fact, the Shure earphones are so good at blocking out sound that I've even used them as ear plugs while flying.

Having said that, I've already gone through 2 pairs of Shure earphones in 2 years, the most recent pair do not work, and I'm now beyond my warranty period. Less than a year after I bought my first pair, the sound started breaking in and out, to the point where only one earphone was really transmitting sound at any point. I couldn't listen to more than 30 seconds of this before the volume fluctuations drove me crazy. I sent my earphones in the Shure and they sent a brand new pair within a few weeks. These worked great for a few months, but the same problem happened again. I think it's an exposed wire problem (something mentioned in earlier reviews), so electrical tape might help. But who wants to walk around with earphones covered in tape?

Now that I'm past my two-year warranty, I'm feeling frustrated because I know these would be great earphones if only they had a longer shelf life. I think the cost (even at $70 on Amazon with free shipping) is still too high to justify earphones that work for a few months before driving you insane. I realize now that these earphones have been broken for at least as much time as they have worked well. I'm hoping there's something better out there.

Some tips, if you do decide to buy these:
-It takes awhile to get used to the putting them in and out of your ear, but it does feel natural and comfortable after a few uses.
-Clean the flex sleeves regularly to avoid build-up of dirt, which interferes with sound quality.
-It might be best to store these in the carrying case after every use, which could prevent the wiring problems I've had.
-Don't be afraid to send them in ASAP for replacements!
