Comment: I just received this yesterday, it's part of my Halloween Costume (a sexy ring master) and it goes great with the theme that I am wishing to portray. By the looks of it though, it's construction, it's made very well, doesn't seem like it is easy to break and the weaving wont fall apart. I read other reviews on other whips, where they are spray painted or you lash something or someone once, only to have the paint chip into dist and float into the air--not this one. The handle had a nice little grip on it, the shaft is sturdy and covered in fine weaving and the flap it smade of real leather. It has a nice sting as well. I bought it for a halloween costume and it is perfect.. a little shorter than other crops which is what I wanted. I don't ride horses, so I can't comment on durability for that use.
