Comment: So far so good on all OBDII vehicles ... I wish it had a cheap option for the OBDI adapters

Summary: Amazon title for this product is wrong.
Comment: I am pleased with this CP9145, however please note that it does ***not*** have Record and Playback Data Capability. The amazon web page title for this product says it does have that capability. The manufacturer says it does not, and it is not described at all in the user manual. The other features of this product work well. I would have easily given it 5-stars if the title wasn't misleading as to a material feature. I have asked amazon to correct this for the CP9145, and for other models that also have the incorrect info in the title. Note that the CP9145 has live data reading, it's doesn't have the Record and Playback Data Capability.

Summary: Great tool!
Comment: I purchased this unit specifically to use with my '94 Corvette, which has an in-between on-board-diagnostics setup. This year Corvette has some OBDI and some OBDII functionality and has an OBDII connector. The Actron works perfectly with the Corvette. I also tried it on my Toyota Highlander and it worked just peachy for that as well. The unit appears to be well built and solid. I'm really pleased that I purchased it.

Summary: This thing works, period!!!!
Comment: I am not a handy person and do not like to read through the manual. I even called the help line after I received the product and read the manual a couple of times (even though I do not like it). I never repair my car myself and do not plan to do it. However, I would like to know what is wrong with my car when the check engine light is on before I take it to the dealership. I just want to be safe by not ignoring serious problems.
This thing works perfectly. The most difficult part of using this tool is to bend down and hook it up (no need to use any other tools). The rest will take about 2 minutes. So far (since Friday), I have canceled 3 lights (98 nissan, 02 VW Golf - twice, 01 Toyota Corrola with a rebuilt 02 engine). None of those car have serious problems.

Summary: Cheesey Case
Comment: The CP9145 is an excellent tool. It has all the features us home mechanics need. The only bad thing is the case they give you offers no protection at all for the unit also there is barely enough room to store the cables. They don't even give an AC or DC Adapter which I think is just plain cheap.
