The Redfeather Guide Ultra Snowshoes are built stronger with a bolder look for those back country treks. These snowshoes feature an aircraft-quality, powder-coated aluminum frame with a rounded Western tail design for maximum flotation and balance in deep snow. The Ultra binding system incorporates the ease and comfort of a strap, over-the-foot binding system, with the added security of a quick-release, Swiss-ratcheted heel system. This binding system adjusts easily, and provides optimal comfort and security. The crossover straps and ratchet buckles make for a glove friendly, easy-on, easy-off system. The deck is constructed of Hypalon II--the same tough material used in water rafts, and the stainless steel and powder-coated Condor Crampons are designed for outstanding traction up and down hills. Lastly, the Pivot Rod hinge allows the foot to rotate and leave the snowshoe on the ground for maximum flotation. The Guide Ultra is available in three sizes: Guide 25, 30, and 36. The Guide 25 measures 8 by 25-inches, weighs 4.0 pounds, and can support up to 175 pounds. The Guide 30 is 9 by 30-inches, weighs 4.4 pounds, and can support up to 220 pounds. The Guide 36 is 10 by 36-inches, weighs 5.3 pounds, and can support up over 220 pounds. All sizes are designed for adventure trekking and back country expeditions.
About Redfeather
Redfeather Snowshoes was founded in 1988 by a snow-bound triathlete with the idea of designing a better snowshoe that would allow racers to train during the snowy Colorado winter months. His original design became the legendary Redfeather Redtail, the lightweight aluminum V-tail snowshoe that transformed snowshoeing from an awkward mode of transportation into the modern sport that we all know today. Located in Denver, Colorado, in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, Redfeather continues to strive for technical innovation, performance, and unsurpassed quality in all of its snowshoes.
