Editorial Reviews:

A HUGE 24" radio controlled model snowmobile, licensed by Polaris - one of the most popular snowmobile manufacturers. These 24" snowmoblies are radio controlled and ready to run straight out of the box. The scale replica Fusion 900 features a powerful 540 electric motor for speeds of 9 ft/sec and, just like the real thing it is responsive and nimble with signature aesthetics, working suspension and a full track design for punching through challenging snowscapes. The included two channel radio control puts you in the saddle with precise control and long-range fun never before available in the winter. Though designed to be used outdoors, not only is the 24" Fusion a blast to use outside on snow but it can even be used indoors on carpets just by changing skis! The snowmobiles run for up to 12 minutes on a single charge. Requires one 9V transmitter battery.

Summary: Go Slowmobile
Comment: The manual (NOT the description, unfortunately) states the toy is intended for use on PACKED snow. It should also say LEVEL surfaces because the little beast tips over more easily than a drunk guy on a unicycle. Since I don't know any other owners, my observations are based solely on the one unit that I purchased recently. The thing is so much fun that it is easy to stay outside on a sub-zero wind chill night long enough that my fingers get too numb to work the controls on the remote. The numbness, by the way, brought on a bit sooner by having to constantly reach down in the snow to pick up the snowmobile and set it back up. Of course, if I were a better operator that might be less of a problem. Mine also has a quirk in that it will not run forward for more than 30 or 40 feet before it stops for no reason. I have to release and re-trigger the control to keep it going. Also, in reverse, it has less power than a strangled caterpillar. It is a lot of fun but I wish the company would respond to email or answer their 800 number with something other than a recording that says the message box is full. That might have helped me know whether or not there's something wrong with mine that they'd like to fix or if the reason they don't respond is because all of them are like this! The 900 seems to be a discontinued model as you have to go to the "old website" for information and the links for Tips and Download Manual are no longer functional.
