Customer Rating: Summary: Seabiscuit - The Lost Documentary Comment: Historical video for all Thoroughbred racehorse lovers and those who have great interest in the life of Seabiscuit! A classic! Worth the $!
Customer Rating: Summary: Seabiscuit lost documentary Comment: Pretty interesting, but don't expect something amazing. It is a documentary that is old, and I like this style of documentary.
Customer Rating: Summary: Seabiscuit Comment: Would have been better if I hadn't seen the movie. Mostly racing footage. Not much about Red Pollard. Kinda made it seem that Ice Man was the hero.
Customer Rating: Summary: As If You Were Gettting The Feed Bucket For The Biscuit Comment: This is a labor of love from Seabiscuit's owner, Charles Howard, as he chronicled the champion through home movies in 1939. What makes the DVD a must for racing fans is the historic nature of the footage; one could have only gotten closer to The Biscuit by being part of his racing team.
Though not being a "definitive" biography from the ultimate insider is beside the point. The Biscuit was larger than life to race fans then and his feats - due to books by Laura Hillenbrand and William H. Nichols & the movie based on Hillenbrand's outstanding biography - have rightfully found a permanent home in American History.
The documentary adds new spice to the legendary life of a Thoroughbred champion who delivered Ruthian performances on racing ovals from coast-to-coast.
Customer Rating: Summary: Seabiscuit-The Lost Documentary Comment: For those racing fans that love 'Seabiscuit,' this is a must have DVD. It is an excellent source of racing history about the most famous racehorse of all time.
