Customer Rating: Summary: Fits My Needs. Comment: I have a 20-year-old Schwinn one-speed Beach Cruiser, and I like it very much. It's given good service and I've taken it on trips of up to 25 miles. It's not worth much, but I'd like to keep it. If left unprotected, it'll disappear. That's for sure. I've used a cable lock but I've never had much confidence in it. Then I discovered the Bike Club. The reason I bought it is that I've had an automobile Club for 25 years and my cars have never been stolen, even though I've lived in a high-theft area and have driven cars that are the most likely to be stolen (Nissan, Toyota, Honda). Is it the Club? Maybe. Maybe I've just been lucky.
In any case, the Bike Club seems to be very sturdy and hard to remove and my bike has never disappeared for as long as I've used it. I'm sure there are people who could remove the Bike Club given enough time and the right tools. No doubt. But would they spend that kind of time and effort to steal my aging Beach Cruiser? I doubt it. Probably my main danger would be that someone might spot my unprotected bike, take a joy ride on it and leave it in a place where I can't find it. The Bike Club eliminates that possibility and I've been very satisfied with it. If I had a very expensive bike, I'd probably seek out some other protection, but the Bike Club fits my needs and is inexpensive.

Customer Rating: Summary: Spend real money and save your bike Comment: My most beautiful bike is gone. Officer Williams informed me the barrel locking mechanism is easily foiled. 900 bucks down the tubes. Buy a New York fugedaboutit and save yourself my loss. Namaste.
