Summary: 2nd Pair and Love Them
Comment: This is the 2nd pair of Heely's we have purchased for our son. He gets more use out of these by far than any other toys he has. The old pair have tons of life left in them. He just grew out of them. We will be able to pass them down to his sister.
These new ones came with a key and plugs to put in when you take out the wheels. Very handy, the 1st ones didn't have this. However, I don't recommend these for a regualar shoe. They are very bulky, but my son insists on wearing them anyway :)
~Well worth my money~

Summary: More dangerous than I thought
Comment: The company that sent these was very quick. The shoes arrived in perfect condition. A friend of mine had said that she wouldn't get this type of shoe because she thought they were dangerous and that children should wear helmets. After watching my son struggle with them, and taking a pretty bad fall, I realized that helmets must be worn at ALL times while using these shoes. My son is very athletic. I also thought the wheels would pop back in when not in use, but that is not the case with this particular shoe. The wheels have to be taken out. We might end up just using the shoe part of this and throw the wheels away. An expensive tennis shoe. If I could go back, I would have just bought my son inline skates.

Summary: Shoes.com is unreliable, products are horrible.
Comment: It took me almost 2 months to write this review because everytime I think about Shoes.com, I relive the anger and frustration we went through.

I did endless research before purchasing these Heelys. My first choice was Zappos.com, but this item didn't ship here to Alaska. The Heelys I received from Shoes.com were obviously used; scuff marks on the back and sole, dirt on the sides. The plastic covering encasing the wheels was ripped open and the wheels were so worn, they looked as used as my son's old Heely wheels. I called Shoes.com, the gentleman was nice. He said he'd send a replacement pair and apply a 20% discount to the new pair for my trouble, which I was grateful for. I was thrilled to receive the replacement pair the following day. However when we opened the box, the shoes were new but there were no Heely wheels. I called Shoes.com again, this time furious. The lady I spoke to was nice and I hoped to just have the wheels mailed to me, but she said I had to send the shoes back again. I mentioned the 20% discount I was promised the day before, she confirmed it was being applied and she offered the same for the third pair being charged to my card. I begged her to notate somewhere in my order that this would be the third pair shipped to me and PLEASE send me brand new shoes w/ the extras I'm paying for! The third pair arrived the following day and I dreaded opening it. The shoes looked "less new" than the ones I received the previous day (light dirt marks on the inside) and the changing tool was missing; at this point, I didn't care. My son's birthday surprise was more important to me than calling Shoes.com again, charge my card again and experience any further anxiety.

A couple weeks later, my bank statement showed I never received the 20% discounts promised me. I was charged full price, PLUS the extra overnight shipping charges to Alaska...making what I spent on the final pair of Heelys more than the listed price on either Shoes.com or Zappos.com. I have no issue paying for what I order. But when the shoes are promised as brand new with wheels and changing tool, plus the discount for my troubles...they should follow through. I love Amazon.com and will continue to shop here. Shoes.com is a disappointment and I will never use them again...my family, friends and co-workers will never use them again and I recommend those of you looking at items from their site...to look elsewhere.

~Have a great day everyone~

Summary: Quality of item does not match the price.
Comment: Ugh, My son got these the 1st of May and by first of July had already worn the heel completely down. You can actually see inside the sole of his shoe now. Yes he was wearing them a lot, but I think that for the price we paid for them they should have worn longer. He has enjoyed them, but I'm not sure we will be purchasing another pair anytime soon.

Summary: Love these shoes! Became a kid again...
Comment: These shoes are great! I thought that since I am older it would take a long while to get used to these shoes. But after a weekend, I was flying! I have all my little cousins jealous, haha.

There are two things to note, though. I don't think you need to go up a size as many websites say. I went up to a 12 from an 11, and they are definitely too big. This suggestion must only be for growing kids. Second, the cushion isn't the greatest in the world. So after a while, it could become uncomfortable. But the shoe is so big, you can just stick a sole in there and keep riding.

EDIT: Though these shoes are a great deal of fun, they are not too practical. It is a little hard to wear, but then again it could just be because the shoes are a size larger. They do clean up nicely, however, and my shoes still look new.
