Customer Rating: Summary: Great Wagon! Comment: This wagon is wonderful. Althought you need to watch your childrens fingers on the lach of the door, it is great for carting them around. the cup holders are a wonderful feature and the extra space under the seat is a nice addition. the extra cart is nice to get too.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice wagon, only one flaw... Comment: We received this wagon as a Christmas present. The timing was great because our daughter stopped wanting to sit in the stroller, but she will sit in the wagon. We take it to the park, the zoo, and for walks around the neighborhood. The only thing we did not like was how loud the plastic tires were. We didn't notice it as much when we were at crowded parks where there was a lot of noise, but when we would walk around the block it was really annoying. I called Step 2 and I was able to order rubber tires for the wagon. Now it's great! Our rides are much quieter! I also bought the Radio Flyer Canopy to go on the top (the sun in AZ is intense) and it's great. With all of the accessories I've spent more than I would've liked, but we take the wagon everywhere so it's worth it to us. Overall, we like the wagon but I would recommend ordering the rubber tires.
Customer Rating: Summary: A real baby boomer BOOGER to put together! Comment: I would have given this 5 stars, except for 'the rest of the story...' keep reading ;-) .. suffice to say: Gma and Gpa beware! This is a booger to put together. It's heavy, and once the wheels are attached (and during attaching them) the thing is slippery as all get out. Once you get to the handle installation, watch out for the forehead as you WILL get bonked. That long 'screw' that holds it in place was the hardest part of this assembly.
I've just purchased a Step2 wagon for the 2nd time in my lifetime. In 2000, in KC MO, it was a store model and already put together. This one, bought locally, took 2 hours to put together, with blood sweat & tears. Now that it's together, I will love it like I did the first one (left with a neighbor child in KCMO as there was no room in the moving truck).
But!!! I can easily say that this was one of the most difficult toys I've ever assembled (3 kids, single Mom, Christmas Eve was usually a nightmare!), and the instructions, while they have good technical illustrations, have **really poor instructions.
I can tell you, I will never buy another similar product until I can speak with someone who has already assembled the unit. Manufacturers should remember, they are still dealing with a LOT of baby boomers (READ: older! Less dexterity, more arthritis, less strength than in former years) as your purchasers (READ: we still have the money to spend!) and do something about those instructions. And a notation that it takes a certain amount of body strength to assemble it, and perhaps to have somebody put it together FOR you, would be nice.
As before, I bought this as my handy-man cart for outdoors, gardening (50 foot hose fits perfectly), hauling boxes from the car or to the shed (I am handicapped and this wagon turns beautifully unless you landlock in a tight turn). It handles great on the rock/gravel around my house, and doesn't tip stuff out even if you go up over the small 'curbing' around the rocked yard areas.

Okay, rant finished ;-) ... Oh! And, bought at a discount house here, I paid exactly the same amount as in 2000! That was a bennie! This is a great wagon (shoot for the already assembled store model!)
Customer Rating: Summary: good for only 1 child Comment: Item is well made and sturdy, but don't try pulling more than one child with additional items for more than a minute unless you're very strong! I'm looking to sell mine!
Customer Rating: Summary: Very durable, great wagon! Comment: Since we got this wagon, we have used it constantly with our 1 and 2 year-old sons. I agree that the door is somewhat inconvenient to open, but my 2-year old can do it with no problem, so it obviously isn't that bad. The seatbelts are great, as my 1 year-old is very active. I don't have to worry about him squirming out (which he does in other seatbelts). The wheels are large and durable, so going over bumps or over grass is not bad at all. My kids like to sit in it even if we aren't going anywhere, and it is so cool that other kids have actually fought over who was going to get to sit inside when we were at the park with friends one day. This is a must-have for parents with small children!
