Sting gets to let out all of his new age urges in doing the soundtrack for this underwater doc. Including a few of his vocal-based songs from previous solo work to wet the appetite, unfortunately the background-coasting, generic Caribbean vibe which pervades a majority of instrumentals makes the title an unworthy purchase.
Customer Rating: Summary: The Living Sea DVD Comment: We watched this as a family and it was excellent to view on a large tv with HD. Add the surround sound and it is even better. We first saw this at IMAX years ago and really enjoyed it. This version also has an entire additional video of how it was made! Pretty cool!
Customer Rating: Summary: Muszac Comment: While there are a few lovely instrumental interludes on this album, I would have to classify this as "elevator" music, with a little too much pan flute for my liking.
Customer Rating: Summary: feast for your soul! Comment: I have ben searching for this CD for 8 years as it was not available in Europe in regular sale. And have found it only in Amazon! Delicious, wonderful and transparent music like see..Feast for the soul and senses, I think the best of Sting.
Customer Rating: Summary: My favourite CD Comment: My work has been very stressful, difficult projects and difficult deadlines. When I've worked late at night, and I've been under the gun, I've popped this CD into my player because this amazing music helps me focus. How can you not feel at peace while listening to this soundtrack? I credit this CD with my success in these situations. I've listened to it literally hundreds of times, which is why I'm on amazon.com tonight to order a new copy, because mine is worn out!
And the IMAX movie is fabulous!
