It lost a star because the green Versaball this system comes with is too small for me, and I can only imagine that most other people would find it too small as well (I'm about 5'3"). So when it comes to the standing exercises that start off the BLT workout, I had to switch to a bigger ball. The ball does come with a chart with all sorts of exercises to do with it, which is handy, because even if you wind up getting a different ball you can still use these exercises.

Otherwise, everything else is spot on. The little weighted balls are perfect -- if they're too big for your hands, it doesn't matter because they're filled with sand and mold to the shape of your hands. These also come with little charts (and I mean little; it's actually kind of hard to read the words from any kind of starting position for an exercise. Best know what the chart says before you start).

The mat is basically just a mat. My feet start to slide on it a little doing the PM exercises, and my dog wanted to lick it straight out of the box, but what do you want? It does its job.

The videos are wonderful workouts. I was afraid, after reading another reviewer's criticism that at first the AM workout was a little too fast, that I wouldn't be able to keep up, but I found them to be just the right pace. The PM is a lot of stretching, with some yoga-like stuff and abs work thrown in for good measure. The BLT is a short, invigorating workout -- when she said the workout was over, I scratched my head and said, "That's it?" I've probably never said that about the end of a workout before.

My only minor complaint about the DVDs is that they do a few cheesy cuts to grainy, fast, hyper colored or black and white colored bits, or they film the display monitor used during filming, so we're seeing her do the exercise through a monitor on a monitor. I figure once I know the exercises well enough, I won't have to look at the screen often enough for it to bother me.

Comment: Pleassantly suprised that I use this product. Although it takes a while to get up the stamina to keep up with the dvd's it is easily used for ideas for your own routine and so forth. My children like to use the weighted balls to "exercise" with mom. Worth the money and the ideas and routines are super.

Comment: The weighted balls, mat and videos are worth the price paid. The inflatable ball at 25 inches seems too small. At 5'9", my head touches the ground when it isn't supposed to. There are different colors for the balls, so research it if you are tall. Karen Voight was using a gray ball which seemed to be large enough. Of the three workouts available, I'll use one. Still, it's a great way to get some exercise in at home without having to go out to a gym.

Comment: I purchased this kit when it was on sale. Judging from my RSS feed of the "Deal of the Day" it is a regular feature in that promotion. I purchased it for about $30, though apparently it's gone as low as $20 in the past. $30 is roughly what you'd spend for a stability ball and a mat on their own. With the two DVDs and the "Green Genies" that makes it a very good deal.

I purchased the kit so I could have an extra ball and mat to keep at the home of my parents, whom I visit frequently. My mother has now commandeered the mat and the stability ball. (I took the Genies and the DVDs with me.)

The mat and the ball are of very good quality. Comparable to anything that you would get "a la carte" from other brands. The hand pump that comes with the kit does it's job just fine. The only thing I didn't like was that the kit didn't come with any sort of tool to make removing the plug from the ball easier for when I want to add more air. (My first stability ball was a Rebok Stayball which did come with such a tool, so I suppose I'm spoiled.) In regards to the mat, like all foam yoga mats, you will slip a bit at first but as you "break it in" it will give you a good comfortable foundation for your feet, knees, and hands.

The "Green Genies" are sand filled, squishable, spheres. They are used as hand weights and in a number of other (rather ingenious) ways to provide a little extra "oomph" for certain exercises after you've been doing them for a while.

The kit has two DVDs and a "poster" that illustrates how to use the equipment. I really liked the DVDs but I wouldn't exactly say they are for beginners. The exercises flow pretty intuitively into each other and she explains everything clearly. I'm not exactly a beginner, but I'm not in anything that resembles in shape either. I'm confident that a true beginner can use these DVDs right out of the box, but (to be honest) they need to be ready to work. This woman is serious, friendly serious not like militant serious, but this isn't "Sweating To The Oldies". Something like that is about getting up and moving, getting your heart pumping and losing weight. These DVDs are about that and toning your body, improving flexibility, and strength.

Comment: When I found this set, on Amazon at such incredible price, I had to try it! I love the green genies and the full-size yoga mat. Great little & large workout balls and the DVD is great. My husband and I excercise every day and this will be a great addition to my routine.
