Customer Rating: Summary: DANGEROUS! Comment: These headphones were so cheap and misleading, claiming to be "Sports" Headphones. After about two weeks of using them on the treadmill, I started to feel a stinging sensation coming out of the headphones into my ears, as if the headphones were shocking me electrically! Immediately after the sound died. I will never again use Sony headphones because they could potentially induce electrical seizures!
Customer Rating: Summary: great value Comment: you just can't beat these headphones for the money. My son kept 'borrowing' them from me, until i found this really great deal on Amazon and ended up buying 3 of them! Now have two extras which I'm sure will be put to good use. Love the quality, the feel and comfort, and of course the value.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not good Comment: These came with my mp3 player and I hate them.I am an average sized woman and they don't fit in my ears. They are too big.I mostly use them for running and they do not stay in.I have to wear my sunglasses over them to make them "sorta" stay in my ears.
Customer Rating: Summary: Far Superior to Standard IPOD Earbuds Comment: Poor quality earbuds have always been an irritation for me. A person pays big bucks for a great mp3 player like an IPOD and it comes with junky ear pieces that sound bad and don't stay in one's ears.
This is far better than the standard earbuds. The hooks keep them from falling out of the ears and the sound quality is good.
I think it is unfortunate that Apple and other companies making mp3 players don't include good earbuds in the first place, but since they don't, this is a good solution. Highly recommended!
Customer Rating: Summary: Why can't the clip be functional? Comment: I love this style of headphone: earbuds hurt the insides of my ears after about 10 minutes but I can wear this type all day because they slide in sideways and the ear clips keep them on. I am not concerned too much with sound quality as long as it's not fuzzy or tinny so I really don't know how these stack up against other headphones in that department--all I know is that I've had several pairs of this style from Sony (they seem pretty durable--it's always been my fault that I needed to replace them) and always loved them.
Here's my complaint (echoing what a few people have already said): The shirt clip is ridiculous. I would have just bought one of the normal pairs (not the "sport" kind) if I had known how useless it is. When I chose this model, I was thinking, "Hey, now when I'm bouncing around on the machines at the gym, the cord won't be flopping everywhere" and now I'm thinking, "Why couldn't they use a normal clip--the kind that just works like a clothespin where you pinch one side together and the other side opens up?" Instead of that simple design, someone brilliantly thought they'd create a clip that works more like a clamp. You have to pry one end open to release the clipping end, stick your shirt into the opening (usually I have to double or triple the fabric because it won't hold onto just one layer of cloth), hold the clipping end together, and then push the other end back together. It's a 2-hand operation, which is just silly.
My advice: just get the plain version if you want this type of headphone (and maybe use a clothespin to secure it to your shirt...) or look elsewhere if you really want something that attaches the cord to you!
