Summary: Very nice home table.
Comment: This was a gift for my adult son. He really enjoys billiards and wanted a table at home, but only if it had the correct feel to the table. This pool table fits the bill. Is it fine furniture? No. But it has leveling feet, is solid and comes with an amazingly clean, flat 3 piece slate top--at least 1 inch thick (perhaps slightly thicker).
Setup isn't a 10 minute process however. It might be overwhelming for the mechanically challenged too. The slate is heavy so you'll need burly folks to set the slates in place.
Finally, the felting process takes as long as the building of the table. If done carefully, following instructions (generic instructions I found on the web, not in the box), the end result is spectacular. Ball roll is true even into the pockets.
In summary, if you're looking for a fine piece of furniture as well as a pool table, this isn't for you. However, if you're looking for an affordable pool table that plays as well as the top of the line tables and you're willing to put some sweat equity into it, this is an excellent table for you.
